ROBOTICS AND AUTOMATION

ROTATION AXES
There are a number of different applications in the robotics and automation technology that are used
to carry out horizontal and vertical rotative movements. A sophisticated, electronically controlled overlay of multiple axes enables harmonious and elegant movements with several degrees of freedom. These movements can simulate any human arm gesture and make the adjustment of extreme loads with “stretched out robot hand” to a big challenge. Tremendous force, system rigidity and positioning accuracy to bring the robot arm quickly in the correct position without “shakes” are also some features of the rotation axes. Unfortunately crash situations cannot be ruled out in practise and make the overloadbearing capability of all force-transferring elements such as bolts and gears a decisive factor while dimensioning.

The use of the Melior Bevel Motion - a stable robotic gear system combined with a low-backlash bevel gear - offers the design engineer a variety of advantages. It meets all of the requirements of positioning accuracy, and resistance against turning and tilting and offers the user overload capability. With its tried and tested robot flange on the output side, it is capable of performing well even in the smallest of spaces.
